Molly • Founder, Recipe Developer & Editor

Hi, I’m Molly. Always Home Cooked started as a habit: writing down the meals my family asked for again and again—the “make it next week too” dinners, the simple bakes, and the comfort-food favorites. This site is where I turn those handwritten notes into step-by-step recipes you can actually follow on a busy day.

When you see “we” on this site, it refers to our small recipe team (Molly, Marouane, and Rita) who develop, test, edit, and photograph recipes together.

What you’ll find here

Always Home Cooked focuses on recipes that fit real schedules: weeknight dinners, cozy soups, reliable baking, and seasonal favorites. If a recipe needs an unusual tool or technique, we call it out early and show exactly what to look for (texture, color, internal temperature, doneness cues).

How we develop & test recipes

  • Multiple rounds of testing: we cook a draft, adjust, then re-test until the timing and results match the written steps.
  • Clear instructions with checkpoints: “until glossy,” “until thick enough to coat a spoon,” “until 165°F,” etc.
  • Ingredient notes that matter: pan size, fat %, brand-sensitive ingredients, and swaps that actually hold up.
  • Reader-driven updates: if comments show confusion (or a better method), we re-test and revise the post.
  • Nutrition: any nutrition information is an estimate and will vary by ingredients/brands.

Our team (and who does what)

Molly leads recipe development and final editing. Marouane focuses on weeknight mains (pastas, grills, soups). Rita develops baking and dessert recipes and checks clarity for beginner cooks.
