Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops about 1 inch thick
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat pork chops completely dry with paper towels.
  2. Mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Rub the mixture all over both sides of each chop.
  3. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 18 to 25 minutes depending on thickness, until a thermometer reads 145°F in the thickest part.
  4. Transfer to a plate, tent loosely with foil, and rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Thin chops cook faster so check them early. Bone-in chops stay juicier than boneless but both work. Don't skip the rest — it keeps the juices in the meat where they belong.
